The St. Louis Cardinals minor league system is as stocked and loaded with talent as any in baseball. The organization is widely noted and applauded for what it has been able to do in building the farm system.
But the Cardinals and its minor league affiliates are receiving some unbelievable contributions from some lesser known prospects and the guys from The Cruddy Show brought on John Nagel of CardinalsFarm.com to find out more about some of these young players.
The guys asked Nagel about Zach Petrick and Brock Peterson who both are vastly outpacing expectations. They also asked Nagel about a couple of rehabbing players in Fernando Salas and Jordan Swaggerty.
Finally, the guys had Nagel break down which of the team’s most recent picks from this year’s MLB entry draft are having outstanding starts to their pro careers.
